Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Gem place…this chu char restaurant was delicious and surprisingly cheap…enjoyed every dishes ordered…claypot taufu was buttery taste…bitter gourd egg was silky smooth"
"A very local chu char restaurant serving local dishes suitable for family meals. We went for lunch and had to sit behind the restaurant (open air) and it was really hot. The dishes taste good and the portions are generous and the price is very reasonable too. Recommended if you're in this area looking for a local chu char meal."
"Was brought here by friends. Smallish eatery that houses about 6-7 tables indoors and another 3 outdoors. The kitchen is right smack behind the establishment where you can witness the magic. Food was fantastic. The hor fun had that char, topped off with deep fried fish head. The bittergourd egg was unbelievable. The sour soup bee hoon also was just right in terms of balance between savoury and sour. The rest of the dishes were also fantastic. Reasonably priced. The owner will warn you if you over order which accentuates their honest way of doing business. Thumbs up."
"We had the pleasure of trying the fish bihun soup with yam served in a claypot, and it was not only a hearty portion but also quite delicious. If you're lactose intolerant, they offer a spicy sour soup (酸辣湯) alternative. Don’t forget to indulge in their homemade lemongrass drink. Please note that the bihun soup is exclusively available for breakfast. They offer a diverse dinner menu with a range of dishes (煮炒). So, while the bihun soup is a breakfast treat, you can still enjoy their delicious dinner options."
"This is my 4th time and still give 5 for homey tasty and reasonable priced food. Tastiness is consistent. Will come again. Today, 17 Jan 2026 Ordered Oyster noodle, bitter gourd with runny eggs , “Gu Lou Yoke” - Sweet Sour Pork and home cooked Lemon grass tea."
"Taste of food slightly above only. Not as shared by friends. Food was served fast upon order. Price is reasonable.Place has air conditioners so it sort of make up for the experience dining here."
"I like char mee hon with fish meat. Every time I visit I will order this menu. It tasted superb. Fish is very fresh."
"They open for breakfast! Yes… breakfast! Haha…. Great noodles with fresh fried fish. Their signature bitter gourd in runny egg style was an interesting dish… The draw was a clay pot milky style noodles with yam & fish… yes more fish. They also had a Serai (lemongrass) drink… tasty and highly recommended."
